As part of its mission, CNUDST has focused on bringing out scientific Tunisian publications to enhance more visibility, accessibility and usage and so to go into reflections and events with national and international scientific publishers.
In 2016, CNUDST has started its project named ‘Scientific Tunisian journals’ Enhancement’. This project targets to highlight visibility of scientific Tunisian journals on the national and international scale, and thus upgrading them to meet the international standards of online scientific publications and of indexing in bibliographic and bibliometric databases among which Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of the editor clarivate ( ex Thomson Reuters) and Scopus of the editor Elsevier.
International standards of indexing journals
In this framework, a study has been carried out on scientific journals published by institutions of higher education and by scholarly organizations taking into account the essential standards of indexing ( language, medium of publication, periodicity and frequency of publication). Then a selection of titltes should best respond to the standards that are suggested by the editors Clarivate Analytics & Elsevier:

- Respecting the time limit of online publication set by the publisher
- Publication timeliness
- Bibliographical informations must be in english : title, keywords, abstract,
- E-ISSN / ISSN ;

Undertaken actions to upgrade tunisian journals
For more efficiency and not to be confined on theoretical aspect, a set of actions has been realized through this study :
- Technical and documentary assistance for scientific Tunisian publishers
- Organizing training about standards of scientific publication and of indexing with experts of international editors (Clarivate Analytics, Elsevier & Springer)
- Referencing journals which best meet the international standards into products developed by the CNUDST and accessible on line via the CNUDST

- Organizing meetings with scientific Tunisian publishers and international ones
